Dear Fenix Key users,
According to this very offensive thread: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Recenlty, we all could read a "hot" post written by ATF team. In some unknown reason ($$$?), they were trying to tell ppl some fairtale about dangerous new "Nokiyo"<- (what is this?) flash files that could damage your SL3 phones.
!!!THIS IS NOT TRUE!!!
The true is: ATF team LIE or they software have bug in flashing procedure that damage SL3 phones if you are upgrading SL3 phone to new software. Of course we have a proof for that. We have flashed via Fenix same X3 phone that they have and of course phone is alive, working and is upgraded (screen shots attached) we also tested PA_SL3 into PA_SIMLOC30 flashing using Fenix Key in other models like a X6, C5, C6 same correct result.
They also told something about usless of USB flashing software which is bull$hit also. The rule is simple - if you flash PA_SIMLOC30 phone using ATF your phone have damaged simlock area (they prove this with they post)
. If you flash this phone using Fenix Key (via USB which is same fast and more safe (petro mode enabled [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] ) the phone is working and is up to date. You do NOT NEED to DOWNGRADE your phone.
For Demonstration Purposes, I will successfully flash one of my PA_SL X3-00 RM-540 v4.11 (same as ATF shown in they post) by flashing it with the Latest Nokia PA_SIMLOC30 Firmware (v8.54):
Ok, here is
Step 1: Check Phone and Show Phone Versions:
So here we have a perfectly working X3-00 RM-540 with Firmware version 4.11.
So now we try to flash the phone with firmware 8.54...

A note to the ATF: "team who still don't have a clue about this...
Tell your programmer that this is the part where he should USB Sniff and
copy-paste how we flash firmwares so that your end users will not
kill phones using your software."
So the lesson from this story is:
1. PA_SL3 Brute Force is still and will be usefull as PA_SL3 simlock area is compatible with PA_SIMLOC30
2. Flash your phone only with USB cable which for new phones have same and more safe features, also never flash new phones with competitive fbus solution cuz as you can read somewhere on the forum you will need to buy expensive actiavation and logs after you reflash phone from PA_SL3 into PA_SIMLOC30
3. Buy Fenix Key if you cannot flash your phone using other tool cuz PA_SL3->PA_SIMLOC30 limitation hehehehhe...
To sum up. We do not force our users to buy usless credits to repair phones damaged by us. This behavior is just SICK! All Fenix Key features are free and standalone. Please do not let other teams to cheat you by forceing to buy things that you do not need. And remember, that safety in flashing is very important so we advice you to use Fenix Key!
Warning: We did another test: we downgraded our just flashed nokia from 08.54 to 04.11 using ATF. Then you cannot upgrade your phone anymore. It seems that either flashing or downgrading in ATF is blocking future versions. To remind: this phone was working fine with 08.54 firmware, but now after damages done by ATF.
SIMLOCK_TEST : FAILED
SECURITY_TEST : PASSED
SECURITY_CODE : 12345
PHONE_MODE : LOCAL MODE
To ATF team: please take a look what is wrong with your software. After damage which you done ppl will have not upgradeable phones which even other tools cannot update (this working fine before ATF flash).
BR,
Fenix Team
